Big Shoe Stables is owned and operated by Don Langille, wife Vonda and children Mesha & Colby. Vonda's father Slim is an active part of the daily operations, as Big Shoe is located on Vonda's family farm. In 2005, Don felt that it was time to start the operation for himself and his family while wanting to help others fulfill their desires in the industry. Don brought with him a wealth of knowledge, recognition and many contacts in the business; as he has been a handler and driver for many of the premier operations within the draft horse world. When not "horsing" around the family spends time attending to our herd of 80 commercial cattle.
Big Shoe Stables is home to a band of 30 black and bay Clydesdale mares running with both black and bay stallions, along with a few black percheron geldings.
